Hello, I’m Amber.
I’m a mechanical engineer and former NASA Fellow seeking opportunities in mechatronics design and engineering, including maker space education, in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I bring 5+ years of experience designing programs and teaching classes in advanced robotics, mechatronics, physics, biology-inspired design, and engineering structures and bridges through UC Berkeley and the Lawrence Hall of Science.
This website serves as my portfolio, showing research and design projects ranging from a NASA robot prototype for burrowing on the moon, to an interactive science exhibit to help kids understand climate change.
Background
I graduated from Yale University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Physics, where I researched the physics of animal locomotion as a Yale STARS Scholar.
I went on to earn a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley in 2024.
Along the way, I was honored to receive the NASA Space Technology Graduate Research Opportunity (2024) and the Google + Black in Robotics PhD Award (2023).
